OLD FORGE, NY: The Adirondacks once again play host to the 15th Annual POLKAFESTUSA - the longest running Polka Festival in upstate New York on Memorial Day weekend, May 26th and May 27th, 2012.

The event not only features great music, incredible ethnic and local foods, colorful costumes, and the opportunity to shop the town-wide Garage Sale when not kicking up your heels, but also gives participants a chance to enjoy one of the most beautiful areas in upstate New York!  So, check out a few new dance moves, then purchase your tickets and book a room while there is still time! NEW THIS YEAR! THE POLKA EXPRESS TRAIN!

TICKETS: On Saturday, the Adirondack Scenic Railroad is offering The First Annual Adirondack POLKA Express, which will depart the Utica Train Station on Saturday morning at 10:30 am and arrive in Thendara at 12:30.

FRITZ'S POLKA BAND will accompany riders both on the way out and back with great Polka melodies! Riders will then be transported from the Thendara station to downtown Old Forge. Riders who want to include an afternoon at PolkafestUSA, including a full Polish luncheon, will then travel on to the event. Another option is for riders to disembark, and spend the day shopping in Old Forge. Tickets are $60 for adults, $34 for children ages 12-2. Under 2 are free. For those NOT wanting to attend PolkafestUSA, tickets are $37 and $27, with children under 2 free.
